Montpelier Community Meeting: July 26th
Community leaders for the City of Montpelier have been going through the process of putting together a comprehensive plan for the city. Comprehensive plans chart the future of a community, such as land use, community growth, utilities, parks, and other facets of local government. A core steering committee has been working to gather information from focus groups, the community, and their leaders to gauge the direction in which residents want the city to go within the coming years. These comprehensive plans typically get updated every five to ten years, and Montpelier will host a community meeting at the Montpelier Civic Center on July 26th from 5-7 p.m. to get feedback from the community. This will be a catered event, and there will be a chance to win gas cards for those who attend. The goal of this meeting is to engage with the community and allow citizens of Montpelier/Blackford County to voice their opinions on issues that are important to them.
