Position Overview:
We are in search of an experienced and visionary Project Manager to lead the development of our comprehensive SS4A (Safe Streets and Roads for All) action plan. This crucial role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, from initial research and community engagement to policy formulation and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, urban planning, or related fields, and a passion for creating safer, more sustainable urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Guide and assist the entire lifecycle of the SS4A action plan, ensuring that the project is on time, within budget, and meets high-quality standards.
- Team Coordination: Help manage a diverse team of professionals, including urban planners, researchers, and community engagement specialists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with key stakeholders, including local government officials, community leaders, and residents, to gather insights and build consensus.
- Research and Analysis: Oversee research activities related to urban infrastructure, traffic patterns, accident data, and community needs regarding road safety.
- Policy Development: Lead the formulation of strategies and policies in line with SS4A guidelines to enhance road safety and minimize traffic-related fatalities.
- Reporting and Communication: Ensure effective communication across the team and with stakeholders; prepare and present comprehensive progress reports to senior management and external partners.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in urban planning, transportation, or public policy sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of road safety, urban development, and transportation planning principles.
