What is the Digital Connection Hub

The Digital Connection Hub is East Central Indiana’s go-to resource for all things related to computers, broadband internet, and digital programs. It provides up-to-date information on federal, state, and local initiatives, including resources for first-time internet users, low-income internet affordability programs, digital funding opportunities, and basic computer skills workshops. These workshops are held twice a month at Eastern Indiana Works. They offer participants access to Northstar digital literacy courses in both English and Spanish, with the chance to earn certificates in essential computer and software skills.

In addition, the East Central Indiana Regional Planning District (ECIRPD) supports broadband installation through the Indiana Connectivity Program (ICP) for eligible residential and business locations. ECIRPD is accepting electronics donations, which will be refurbished and distributed to individuals in need. Nonprofits, educational institutions, preschools, and public museums can apply to receive these donated computers. The Digital Connection Hub page also provides step-by-step video guidance through videos on internet installation funding, selecting providers, and determining your internet plan.
