Statement from Executive Director Bill Walters of the ECI Regional Planning District: 

“As the Executive Director of the ECI Regional Planning District, I’d like to clarify that our recent quarterly meeting, featuring Senator Todd Young, was focused on discussing policies and programs impacting East Central Indiana. Alongside fellow board members, I conversed with Senator Young about important matters such as the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology, the National Defense Authorization Act, securing regional tech advancements, bipartisan AI research efforts, Indiana’s housing market trends, and economic coercion. It’s worth noting that Senator Young did not discuss who he does or does not endorse for the 2024 Republican Presidential Candidate during the meeting.”
