Ball Brothers Foundation Supports ECIRPD Internship Program
This spring, the East Central Indiana Regional Planning District (ECIRPD) received a major boost to its region-wide internship program, thanks to a generous $30,000 grant from the Ball Brothers Foundation. This substantial investment underscores the foundation’s ongoing commitment to empowering young talent and strengthening communities across East Central Indiana.
ECIRPD’s internship program is designed to give college students real-world experience in government, business, and law—sectors that are essential to the region’s long-term growth. With a strong emphasis on professional development and workforce readiness, each internship is customized to align with students’ interests and career goals.
The program stands out by providing students not only with educational and professional benefits, but also with paid opportunities—helping ensure that financial barriers do not prevent access to meaningful career experience. ECIRPD is committed to expanding opportunities for students who might otherwise only find unpaid roles in their chosen fields.
Through partnerships with community leaders, mentorship from ECIRPD staff, and collaboration among interns, the program equips participants with the tools and insights they need to confidently launch their careers.
Thanks to the support of the Ball Brothers Foundation and other community partners, ECIRPD is helping build a stronger, more resilient East Central Indiana.
