ECIRPD Helps Portland Rockets Booster Club Secure Grant for Field Supplies

The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District (ECIRPD) is proud to announce our successful facilitation of a grant for the Portland Rockets Booster Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Portland Rockets Baseball Team.

Through the generosity of The Portland Foundation, the Booster Club was awarded $2,200 to cover the costs of tarps and shipping—supplies essential for protecting the team’s field and ensuring it remains in great condition for future seasons.

Thanks to the dedication of our team, including the leadership of Darlesia Lee, Assistant Director of Regional Economic Development & Planning, ECIRPD was able to support the Portland Rockets in securing these much-needed resources.

This collaboration highlights the importance of community partnerships and the role local organizations play in strengthening opportunities for recreation and engagement. We’re excited to see the Portland Rockets continue to thrive and bring our region together through America’s favorite pastime.
