ECI Regional Planning District Hosts First-Ever Trunk or Treat Event

The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District (ECIRPD) extends a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and participated in our first-ever Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 25th, 2025. The community’s enthusiasm and support helped make the evening a great success.

With 100 pounds of candy distributed, 24 decorated trunks, and two bounce houses, the event brought together hundreds of trunk-or-treaters from across the region for a safe and festive celebration. ECIRPD is grateful to everyone who helped create such a fun and welcoming environment

A very special thank-you goes to the Innovation Connector for generously hosting and making this event possible. Their partnership and commitment to community events like this one truly help bring people together and strengthen local connections.

Additional thanks go out to several community partners who helped make the evening possible. The Daleville-Salem Township Fire Protection Territory joined us with their firetruck and passed out candy, adding excitement and community spirit to the event. Tobacco Free Delaware County, Indiana, participated with high school student volunteers who shared treats and promoted healthy, vape-free living—encouraging positive choices that keep our community strong. The Delaware County CASA Program and the Girl Scouts of America also joined in, bringing decorated trunks that helped add to the energy and connection that made the evening memorable.

ECIRPD appreciates the incredible support from all who participated and looks forward to continuing this new community tradition in the years ahead. Events like this showcase the collaboration and community spirit that make East Central Indiana such a wonderful place to live and work.
