ECIRPD’s Building Blocks to Grant Writing Workshop: November 9th & 10th

The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District (ECIRPD) will host its Building Blocks to Grant Writing workshop November 9th–10th, offering participants practical guidance on navigating the grant process from initial research and application development to post-award administration.

This day-and-a-half training is designed for individuals and organizations looking to strengthen their grant writing skills and better understand the responsibilities that come with managing grant funding. Participants will learn about grant opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the steps involved in pursuing and administering grants.

The workshop will cover researching grant opportunities, gathering and preparing required documents, understanding the key components of a grant application, and developing strong responses to application questions. Participants will also explore grant administration, including reporting and compliance requirements, proper documentation, and responsible management of awarded funds.

In addition, the course will address what to do when a grant application is unsuccessful. Participants will learn how to evaluate rejected applications, identify areas for improvement, and use those lessons to strengthen future submissions.

Whether participants are new to grant writing or looking to build on existing experience, Building Blocks to Grant Writing provides a foundation for navigating the grant process with greater knowledge and confidence.

Workshop Details

The workshop will take place over two days:

Monday, November 9th, 2026: 8 AM – 3:30 PM

Tuesday, November 10th, 2026: 8 AM – Noon

Registration is $225 per participant. Lunch will be provided on Monday, November 9th, with snacks and drinks available both days.
