Connecting East Central Indiana to Global Investment at the SelectUSA Summit
The SelectUSA Investment Summit, hosted annually by the U.S. Department of Commerce, brings together investors, companies, and economic development organizations from around the world to connect global businesses with opportunities across the United States.
This year, the ECI Regional Planning District (ECIRPD) will once again participate in the summit, with Bill Walters, Michelle Badders, and Commissioner Shannon Henry representing Delaware County’s economic development efforts. The event draws more than 5,000 participants each year, including over 2,500 business investors from more than 90 international markets, creating valuable opportunities for international connections and partnerships.
For ECIRPD, participating in SelectUSA is an important part of its international economic development efforts. During the summit, the team meets with business leaders from around the world, participates in networking sessions, and highlights the strengths of East Central Indiana. The region offers a strong workforce, a strategic location, and a supportive business environment that can help companies successfully launch or expand their U.S. operations.
By attending the summit, ECIRPD works to build relationships with international companies and promote the region as a strong destination for foreign investment. These connections help support business growth, job creation, and long-term economic development in Delaware County.
