AIM Legislative Dinner
On Wednesday, February 18, team members from the East Central Indiana Regional Planning District will attend the AIM Legislative Dinner in Indianapolis. This event brings municipal leaders and state lawmakers together to celebrate partnership and a shared goal of building stronger Indiana communities. There will be conversations around the challenges and opportunities facing communities across the state, while also creating opportunities to build meaningful relationships. ECIRPD’s attendance matters for many reasons:
Advocate for the Region
By attending the AIM Legislative Dinner, ECIRPD can communicate regional needs and priorities, such as building improvements, economic development programs, and transportation funding, directly to state legislators. Face-to-face conversations help show the real impact that state-level decisions have on local communities.
Raise Awareness of Regional Needs
Many ECIRPD projects rely on state or federal funding. Talking with lawmakers at this event helps ensure those projects stay visible and on the legislative radar.
Strengthen Relationships
The dinner is a unique networking opportunity for ECIRPD to build and reinforce relationships with legislators. These connections are essential when advocating for funding opportunities, policy changes, and long-term regional goals.
By participating in the AIM Legislative Dinner, ECIRPD continues to serve as a strong voice for East Central Indiana and supports continued regional growth.
