Congratulations to Wyatt Koenig on His Next Chapter

The ECI Regional Planning District is proud to celebrate Wyatt Koenig, who will be taking the next step in his professional journey this January as a Community Planner for the City of Evansville Department of Metropolitan Development.

In his new role, Wyatt will focus on redevelopment initiatives across the Evansville area, including brownfield remediation, downtown redevelopment, and helping to maintain the City’s land bank. He will also contribute to the city’s ongoing grant management and application efforts—a responsibility he feels well-prepared for thanks to his hands-on experience through ECIRPD’s internship program.

“My time at ECIRPD allowed me to gain real-world experience in managing grants and understanding the complexities of community development,” Wyatt shared. “That experience has been invaluable in preparing me for this next step.”

Wyatt’s success highlights the impact of ECIRPD’s internship program, which is designed to equip emerging professionals with the skills and experience necessary to make a difference in communities across Indiana. His new position in Evansville underscores how ECIRPD’s work extends beyond our region, fostering talent that contributes to community growth statewide.
