ECI Regional Planning District Proud to Support the First Annual Jay County Bridge Dinner

The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District is proud to support the First Annual Jay County Bridge Dinner, taking place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the historic Whitakre Bridge (Green Bridge).

Hosted by the Jay County Bridge Committee Members — Michele Bichette Goldman, Tisha Gierhart, Darlesia Lee, Jenny Jonas Bricker, and LeeAnn Miller — this free, family-friendly event invites the community to gather at one of Jay County’s historic landmarks for an evening of food, fellowship, and celebration. Attendees can enjoy local flavors from vendors, including Two Mamma’s on Tap, Tayo’s Taqueria, and more. Guests are also welcome to bring their own picnic to share at the public dining and picnic tables, offering members of the community the opportunity to share a meal with friends, connect with neighbors, and meet new people.

Music and entertainment will be featured throughout the event, while children will have access to art supplies and activities designed for an evening of creativity and fun. Parking for the event will be available at both Hudson Park and the Portland Water Park for attendees’ convenience.

The Jay County Bridge Dinner celebrates community pride by bringing people together at a historic local landmark, while also showcasing the vibrancy of the community and its local businesses. The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District is honored to provide support for this event as part of its commitment to fostering strong and connected communities.
